Council members

The European Risk Management Council is a coalition of risk management and compliance leaders advocating for the importance of risk management as a value-adding activity. With a dedicated focus on key themes in risk management and compliance, the Council provides a platform for industry discussion, facilitates professional communication, and promotes the sharing of best practices across the risk community.

Unlike many business clubs, joining this community is not determined by financial contribution. Instead, membership is based on an individual’s professional standing within the risk management community and the value their expertise can bring to the Council’s agenda and industry dialogue.

Typically, Council members include senior risk executives from large banks, insurance companies, asset management firms, other financial institutions, and consultancies, such as:

  • Chief Risk Officers and Chief Compliance Officers

  • Global Heads of Risk, Members of Executive Committees

  • Managing Directors of Risk and Compliance

  • Senior Risk Consultants or Partners

To become a member of the Council, prospective candidates must be recommended by an existing member.
