This meeting will be run in conjunction with the World Economic Forum. ERMC members and World Economic Forum representatives are going discuss the problem of the national resilience to global risks.
In particular, in the discussion the participants will focus on factors which predetermine an ability of countries to sustain extreme risk shocks and provide an adequate response. In addition, the participants will discuss how national resilience to global risks can be assessed and objectively measured.
Guest speaker of the meeting is Lee Howell, Managing Director and Member of the Managing Board of the World Economic Forum. He has editorial and operational oversight of the Forum’s three flagship events: the Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland; the Annual Meeting of New Champions in China; and the Summit on the Global Agenda in the UAE. Howell is also Editor-in-Chief of the Global Risks Report and responsible at the Managing Board for the following Forum communities: Network of Global Agenda Councils, Global University Leaders Forum and Risk Response Network. His prior responsibilities at the Forum include serving as Director,Annual Meeting Programme, New York and Senior Director for Asia.
